Lehighton state police report on crashes

State police at Lehighton reported on the following crashes:

• Police said Michelle L. Holthausen, 44, of Palmerton, was cited for failure to yield for a stop or yield sign after a two-vehicle collision at 3:36 p.m. Sept. 27 at the intersection of Pohopoco and Koch roads in Towamensing Township.

Police said she was driving a 2016 Jeep Compass when she proceeded from a stop, turning left onto Pohopoco Drive without clearance from oncoming traffic. Police said a 2016 Ford Escape operated by Amy L. Wilusz, 45, of Lehighton, was southbound at the time and struck the Compass.

Neither driver was injured.

• Christopher R. Caraballo, 32, of Northampton, was cited by state police at the Lehighton barracks for careless driving after a crash at 8:06 a.m. Oct. 3 on Interchange Road in Polk Township.

Police said he was driving a 2009 Kia Spectra that was involved in the mishap with a 2006 Nissan Xterra operated by Joshua G. Deveraux, 37, of Saylorsburg. The latter was stopped in the lane of travel awaiting a vehicle to maneuver a left turn onto Harrity Road when the mishap occurred.

No one was injured in the mishap.

• Damages were minor in a crash at 3:59 p.m. Oct. 4 on the Little Gap Road in Lower Towamensing Township.

Police said a 2006 Toyota XB was traveling south on the highway and was following a 2017 Jeep Wrangler too closely when it came in contact with the vehicle at a stop sign.

No one was injured and the vehicles were driven from the scene, police said.
