State police at Lehighton said they closed an investigation of a reported child abuse case, deeming the report unfounded.

They were summoned to Church Road in Towamensing Township for a harassment/physical contact report involving a 4-year-old boy from Palmerton.

Police said they were told the alleged abuse took place on Sept. 26.
