Eldred Supervisors

The Eldred Township Board of Supervisors was slated to meet at 7 p.m. today at the municipal building on Kunkletown Road. That meeting is canceled.

The next meeting of the board will be at 7 p.m. Oct. 16 at the Municipal Building in Kunkletown.

Home Association

American Legion Post 927 Home Association will meet at 7:30 p.m. today at the Post Home in Gilbert.

Band parents

Pleasant Valley Band Parents is slated to meet at 7 p.m. Thursday in the PVHS Band Room.

OES meeting

A stated meeting of the Monroe Chapter OES will be held at the Masonic Rimrock Center at 7 p.m.

Legion meets

The West End Legion Post 927, Gilbert, will hold its monthly meeting at 7:30 p.m. Thursday.

Chestnuthill Seniors

It‘s time to do Tai-Chi with Dolores at the Chestnuthill Seniors’ meeting on Friday at the Zion Lutheran Church complex in Brodheadsville. That happens at 10:30 after having coffee or tea and social fellowship beginning at 9 a.m. Then comes the lunch hour, beginning at 11:30 a.m.

The regular meal is pierogies, collard greens, carrots and sliced peaches.

The light meal is tuna antipasto, cucumber salad, an orange and pudding.

For next Wednesday, the activity is blood pressure screening and the regular meal is stuffed chicken breast with gravy, mashed sweet potatoes, peas & carrots, apple and whole wheat bread.

The light meal is turkey & cheese, macaroni salad, mango/sugar free cookies, and whole wheat bread/juice.
