The Northern Lehigh Recreation Authority, a multi-municipal authority supported by the boroughs of Walnutport and Slatington and Washington Township, will be sponsoring its annual trunk-or-treat event for residents from 5:30 to 7 p.m. on Oct. 25.

A variety of spooky activities are planned around the main trunk-or-treat event.

Pumpkin chucking will return, and refreshments will be available. Families, businesses and community organizations will decorate the trunks of their vehicles and will hand out treats to the kids. Prizes will be awarded for the best decorated trunks.

New this year is a suggested $5 per car donation to help offset the cost of the event. The authority is still accepting registrations for trunks.
