From German-style Märzens to autumn-inspired pumpkin ales, the handcrafted beers of Pennsylvania’s award-winning craft breweries take center stage as the Oktoberfest Brewers’ Village presented by Wegmans returns for its sixth year Oct. 11-12.

The tastings run in conjunction with Oktoberfest, a free two-weekend festival that features German food, beer and live music, as well as attractions such as the popular dachshund races, stein hoisting competitions and more. The festival will be held Oct. 4-6 and 11-13. Hours are Fridays, 6-10 p.m.; Saturdays, noon-10 p.m.; and Sundays, noon-6 p.m.

During the two-hour tasting sessions at Brewers’ Village inside the ArtsQuest Center’s Musikfest Cafe, attendees can sample over 30 different beers from more than 15 craft breweries. There is a cost for the event, and can be purchased at www.steelstacks.org/oktoberfest or by calling 610-332-3378. Designated driver tickets are also available.

New additions this year include Great Barn Brewery, Truly, Victory Brewing Co. and Pocono Brewing Co.

Brewers Village tasting sessions take place at 7 p.m. on Oct. 11 and at 1 and 4 p.m. on Oct. 12.

All attendees receive a sampling mug and can meet the breweries’ staff and brewers.
