The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of Sept. 16-20 is as follows:

Monday: Roast beef, parsley potatoes, peas & carrots, bread pudding or tuna wrap

Tuesday: Tomato soup, chicken primavera, pasta, mixed berries or chicken salad

Wednesday: Swedish meatballs, noodles, broccoli & carrots, melon or pork and cheese sandwich

Thursday: Caribbean fish, brown rice, vegetables, black bean and corn salad, orange, cookie or beef Thai salad

Friday: Chicken cordon bleu, mashed potatoes, zucchini, sorbet or chicken salad sandwich

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events for Sept. 16-20.

Poker-Keeno on Sept. 16 at 11 a.m.; Birthday Bingo on Sept. 17 at 10:45 a.m.; Women’s Pool and Men’s Cards on Sept. 18 at 10:30 a.m.; Trivia on Sept. 19 at 11 a.m.; Movie and Popcorn on Sept. 20 at 10 a.m.

St. Vincent de Paul

Food pantry collection

The St. Vincent de Paul Society, an organization of St. Joseph Parish of the Panther Valley, will hold a food pantry collection at Boyer’s in Lansford from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.

Members of the society will be at the store with lists that the society needs, including sauce, fruit juices, soup, cereal, canned vegetables, peanut butter and more. To participate, people can just purchase items from the lists and drop them off at the table at the store entrance.

The St. Vincent de Paul Society is an emergency food pantry of the Panther Valley and helps anyone in need.
