September 6, 1991 — Fenton Black catches seven passes for 103 yards and a touchdown, and Panther Valley’s defense comes up with a stop on a late two-point conversion to help the Panthers gain a 22-21 victory over Mount Carmel. Black opens the scoring when he hauls in a 33-yard strike from Cazzie Kosciolek. The winners, coached by Tom Bonner, also receive a 37-yard TD run from Jimmer Kane and a 2-yard scoring plunge from Kosciolek. After the Tornadoes pull within a point on a touchdown with 2:35 to play, a heavy rush from Mark Krajcir and Mark Cerimele forces a poor pass on the two-point try to preserve PV’s lead.
