Northern Lehigh’s Reagan Pender took first at a Colonial League cross country meet Thursday, while Northwestern’s boys and girls teams both went 4-1 at the meet.
Palmerton’s golf team posted a pair of wins, while the Tigers also recorded victories in boys and girls soccer, field hockey and volleyball.

Palmerton defeated both Lehighton and Pleasant Valley in a non-conference tri-match.
The Blue Bombers defeated PV 405-485, and posted a 405-518 victory over the Indians.
Palmerton’s Logan Kresge and Derek Rea tied for medalist honors with a score of 80. The team’s score of 405 was the lowest this season for the Bombers, who improved to 10-0.
The Bears’ Mary Scully shot a personal-best and team-low 83, while Jack Lorenz had an 87 for Lehighton.

The Bulldogs’ Reagan Pender finished first in the girls race, posting a time of 19:04.32. The Tigers’ Angelina Klein (third) and Allison Costa (ninth) both earned top-10 finishes, while the Bombers’ Natalie Mosier was 11th.
In the boys meet, the Tigers’ Samuel Bower placed sixth, with teammate Randal Zack right behind him in seventh. The Bulldogs’ Jared Thomason ended in 14th place. The top Palmerton runner was Michael Noyola, who finished 18th.

Two second-half goals enabled Tamaqua to gain a 3-1 Schuylkill League victory over Lehighton.
Tyler Steigerwalt and Ian Davis both tallied second-half goals for the Blue Raiders (2-1; 1-1), while Michael Shlanta had one in the first half. Steigerwalt also assisted Shlanta’s goal.
The Indians’ Conner Hanley scored late in the second half to get his team on the board.
Tamaqua keeper Zachary Frie had seven saves, while Lehighton (0-3; 0-2) received 12 stops from Randy Bonjorno.

Four first-half goals sparked Northwestern to a 5-0 Colonial League win over Palmerton.
The Tigers received goals from five different players as Ryan Baker, Luke Bryan, Riley Schaffer, Jason Blaine and Seth Brady all scored.
The winners also got a pair of assists from Phillip Taylor.
Blue Mountain-Jim Thorpe
A first-half goal by Blue Mountain’s Aidan Valentine proved to be the winner as the Eagles held off Jim Thorpe for a 1-0 Schuylkill League victory.
The Olympians’ Jacob Geiser made five saves in net, while Bryan Dunkel earned the shutout for Blue Mountain with eight stops.
The Eagles improved to 4-0 overall, 2-0 in the league, while Thorpe dropped to 1-1-1 and 1-1.

Northwestern rolled to a 7-1 Colonial League victory over Catasauqua.
Lauren Schellhamer paced the Tigers with a goal and an assist.
