September 5, 1981 — Pleasant Valley quarterback Tom Conklin runs for 105 yards and throws for 141 to help lead the Bears to a 20-12 victory over Southern Lehigh. Conklin carries four times for 57 yards on the game-winning drive in the fourth quarter, the final attempt going for a 16-yard touchdown. The PV signal-caller also tosses a 40-yard scoring strike to Glenn Leidy. The winners, coached by Tony Caracio, also receive a 19-yard TD run from Tim Wireman.
