The Carbon County American Legion Inter-Post Association installed Adam Katchur of Beaver Meadows as its commander during a ceremony held yesterday at the Lehighton American Legion Post Home.

Associate officers installed were George Pry, Jim Thorpe, first vice commander; Elmer Davies, Lansford, second vice commander; Oliver Nansteel, Lehighton, sergeant-at-arms; Wilbur Strauss, Lansford, adjutant; and the Rev. Michael Morris, Lansford, chaplain.

Herman Smetz of East Stroudsburg, 30th District commander, was the installing officer, assisted by Olen Haggerty, also of East Stroudsburg, district sergeant-at-arms.
