Edward Mandour, of Lehighton, and Charles Dougherty and Stephen Setar, of Lansford, today began their duties as new employees with the Department of the Auditor General, commonwealth of Pennsylvania, in Harrisburg.

Mandour is well-known as the proprietor of the Hotel Carbon, Lehighton.

Dougherty has been employed as assistant director of the Surplus Food Office in the Court House, while Setar, a Carbon County jury commissioner, has been serving as a night janitor in the courthouse.

Other appointees to that bureau include Stanley Mihalick and Joseph McHugh, both of Summit Hill.
