Ted Nugent returns to Penn’s Peak on Aug. 14
Penn’s Peak will be rockin’ out to the sounds of Ted Nugent next week during his high-octane show that is always a crowd pleaser.
He returns to perform at the Jim Thorpe venue at 8 p.m. on Aug. 14. With him will be performer Michael Austin.
This is a general admission show. Doors open at 7 p.m. and tickets are on sale now at Penn’s Peak box office or at any Ticketmaster location.
Ted Nugent
Nugent has carved a permanent place in rock ’n’ roll history as the ultimate guitar-shredding showman, selling more than 40 million albums, performing over 6,500 high-octane live shows, and continuing to set attendance records at venues around the globe.
Nugent was named Detroit’s Greatest Guitar Player of All Time by readers of MLive, and his no-holds-barred career spans five decades of multiplatinum hits.
From the groundbreaking Amboy Dukes’ hit “Journey to the Center of the Mind,” to classics like “Stranglehold,” “Cat Scratch Fever,” Damn Yankees chartbuster “High Enough,” and cult classic “Fred Bear,” Nugent and his inimitable sound have been featured on VH1’s “Behind the Music,” A&E’s “Biography” and more.
A Nugent show is not just a performance — it’s a fire-breathing celebration.
Michael Austin
With a bold sound influenced by the legends of Outlaw Country, Americana and Rock, Michael Austin has had impressive chart success in over 25 different countries with his debut CD “Neon Halo.”
Austin grew up in the small Missouri town of Cole Turkey Acres and sang from a very young age. He even had his first paid gig at age 7, when a performer at a local establishment put the young singer up on stage promising to pay him if he sang well.
A few hours later, Austin earned his first singing fee and has been impressing audiences ever since with his incredible songwriting skills and strong command of the stage.
The depths of his professional credits are as diverse as his talent, having served in the United States Air Force from the age of 18, to working everything from street patrol to high-security gang units for the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department to studying opera and then appearing on Season 4 of NBC’s “The Voice.”
Still passionately dedicated to our troops and their families, Michael performs often for the U.S. Armed Forces and he is frequently requested to sing his powerful version of the national anthem at events and festivals.
