Jim Thorpe Youth Haunt “The Curse of Reservoir Road” is coming this fall to Jim Thorpe. The Haunt is the effort of Jim Thorpe High School students Natalie Garritano and Ashely Hill.
This is a unique spin on a traditional haunted house. This haunt is a narrated interactive supernatural tale written, and produced by Natalie, and Ashely.
The Haunt, titled “The Curse of Reservoir Road,” takes place at the Mauch Chunk Rod and Gun Club and trails around the woods, ending under the pavilion for a fun family friendly cookout. The dates are Oct. 19 and 20, with times being announced in the near future.
The producers are hosting a fundraiser and information night from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Mauch Chunk Rod & Gun Club. The gun club is hosting wing night and there will also be a basket raffle to help the students raise funds for the production.
Actors and volunteers, Carbon County Youth grades 9-12 are invited to come by to fill out an application and learn more about The Haunt.
The fundraiser include a dozen Wings, fries, and slaw for $10. Only cash will be accepted. All proceeds will be donated to the haunt production. Proceeds from the Haunt will be donated to the JTHS production of West Side Story.
The event is sponsored and Advised by The Mauch Chunk Rod and Gun Club, Conjured Soap Boutique, and assisted by The Carbon County Chamber & Economic Development Corp.
