The Keystone State Games are set to begin tomorrow. Several area players will represent the Lehigh Valley in PA’s Summer Olympic Games in the Scholastic Division (9-12) eight-team baseball tournament and showcase.
There will be 12 players from four Times News area schools playing on a squad comprised of Carbon, Lehigh, Monroe and Northampton Counties.
Jonathan Byers, Derek Pavlik, Patrick Boyle, Bradley Hood, Michael Pascoe and Jake Taras will represent Panther Valley, while Brock Bollinger, Lukas Netznik, Owen Schoch and Ryan King will play for Palmerton.
Lehighton’s Joshua Steigerwalt and Marian’s Bryan Smith will also be in the game.
Coaches for the LV team will be Kelly Bollinger and Mike Netznik Jr. The event will conclude Aug. 4.
