Reunion reservations

Members of the 1969 class of Jim Thorpe High School are reminded that the reservations for their upcoming 50th reunion are due on July 31.

The reunion will be held the weekend of Aug. 23 and 24. For more information about the events, call 570-325-3043.

Clothing Giveaway dates

The clothing ministry of St. John’s Lutheran Church, South Avenue, has announced the dates for its annual clothing giveaway project. The dates are as follows: Thursdays, Aug. 1 and 8, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.; Fridays, Aug. 2 and 9, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Saturdays, Aug. 3 and 10, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Volunteers are also needed to help those selecting clothing on the giveaway days. If you wish to volunteer, l please call Mary Strohl, 570-325-2294.
