Local roundup: Results from July 13 and 14
Franklin Township is taking part in the Pennsylvania State Babe Ruth 13-year old tournament in Milroy.
Franklin is in a nine-team pool playoff in which it randomly plays four different teams.
After dropping its opener, the team owns a 2-1 record following the weekend, with one more game to play this afternoon.
If Franklin wins, it would have a chance to move onto the semis and finals, which starts Tuesday and finishes up Wednesday.
Elsewhere, Franklin Township and Tamaqua Blue picked up wins in the Panther Valley Little League Tournament.

Talan Sensinger tossed a complete game one-hitter in Franklin’s 15-0 victory over Altoona.
Sensinger was aided by a late surge that produced 13 runs. Austin Greene led Franklin Township, which won its second straight game of the tournament, with a single, double, two runs scored and two RBIs, while Evan Murphy chipped in with two singles, two runs scored and two RBIs.
Brady O’Donnel recorded a single, two runs scored and three RBIs in the win.

Franklin Township scored three runs in the bottom of the sixth to come from behind and score an 8-7 win over UDHL.
Ian Henkels led Franklin Township with two singles, a walk, a run scored and an RBI, while Brady O’Donnell followed with two singles, a run scored and an RBI.
Talan Sensinger finished with a single and two runs scored as Franklin bounced.

Franklin Township only needed four innings to post a 17-0 victory over Jim Thorpe in the Panther Valley 11-12-year-old Little League Tournament.
The winners sent 16 players to the plate in the first inning, as they opened with 13 runs to build a comfortable lead.
Dirk Strohl had Jim Thorpe’s only hit on the day.
Pierce Goida, Cody Snyder and Lukas Croizier all finished with two hits for Franklin Township.
