A Schuylkill County driver was the victim of a hit-and-run crash that occurred on Wednesday in Lower Macungie Township, Lehigh County.

State police at Fogelsville said Cara L. Williams, 22, of Coaldale, was driving a 2010 Ford Focus southbound on South Cedar Crest Boulevard and approaching the intersection with Riverbend Road at 3:28 p.m. Williams began to slow down due to a red traffic light ahead of her and another vehicle stopped at the light. As Williams slowed down, the rear of her car was struck by another vehicle. The impact pushed Williams’ vehicle forward and into the rear of a 2007 Ford Transit van driven by Wilson A. Laboy, 47, of Boyertown. After impact, the driver who struck Williams’ vehicle fled the scene.

Troopers said Williams sustained minor injuries, but declined medical attention. Laboy and his passenger, Matthew B. Williams, 32, of Gilbertsville, were not injured. Damages were minor to the front and rear bumpers of the Focus and minor to the van.
