Franklin Township rolled past Towamensing Friday as the Panther Valley Little League Tournament got underway.

Franklin Township opened the Panther Valley 11-12-year-old Little League Tournament with a 15-5 win over Towamensing in four innings.

Mike Gelatko and Aiden Albert each had three hits for Franklin, with Gelatko adding a solo home run in the fourth inning.

Dylan Greene and Cole Dietz also chipped in with two hits a piece for the winners. John Light, Keyden Ahner, Elliot Ahner and Jake Lewis each added a single.

Mason George had two doubles to for Towamensing.
