Senior Center

The menu at the Panther Valley Senior Center for the week of July 8-12 is:

Monday: Lemon pepper fish, mac & cheese, stewed tomatoes, peas, orange or deli club sandwich

Tuesday: Honey mustard chicken, sweet potatoes, Brussels sprouts, apple slices or chicken caprese salad

Wednesday: Boneless ribs, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, pudding or beef & spinach salad

Thursday: Turkey cacciatore, pasta, broccoli, fruit salad or beet salad with chicken

Friday: Vegetable soup, cheeseburger, potato salad, berries

The Panther Valley Senior Center has announced upcoming events for July 8-12.

Nickel-Keeno on July 8 at 11 a.m.; Kid’s Summer School Program here on July 9 at 9:30 a.m., coffee and doughnuts for the early birds, followed by Horse racing at 11 a.m.; Penny Game on July 10 at 11 a.m.; Bingo on July 11 at 11 a.m.; Sunshine Meeting on July 12 at 10:15 a.m. followed by Trivia at 11 a.m.

Golden Agers

At the Panther Valley Golden Agers June 24 meeting, a memorial service was held remembering 10 deceased members for the past year with hymns and prayers led by the group.

The next meeting will be at 1 p.m. on July 8 at St John’s Slovak Lutheran Church Social Hall.

Nesquehoning

Neighborhood watch

The next Nesquehoning Neighborhood Watch meeting will take place at 7 p.m. on Aug. 5 at the borough hall. All are welcome.

VFW Auxiliary

The Nesquehoning Memorial VFW Post 8008 Auxiliary will hold a brief, special meeting at 6:30 p.m. on July 12 in the social Hall at the Post home.

All members are urged to attend.
