Dine and donate
The One Ten Tavern, 110 Delaware Ave., Palmerton will be hosting a dine and donate event for the Palmerton Fire Department from 5-9 p.m., Saturday. Stop and help support those who are always there to help our community. Bring the kids.
Firetrucks and firefighters will be there.
Faith Alive Church
Faith Alive Church, 678 Pine St., Bowmanstown will hold a Summer Kick Off Picnic from noon to 2 p.m. Sunday. Come enjoy food, games and crafts. Face painting and pony rides for the kids. All are welcome.
Faith Alive will hold its Vacation Bible School from June 24-28. All children age 3 to sixth grade are welcome. Join “In The Wild, Amazing Encounters with Jesus.” Dinner is from 5-6 p.m. and VBS from 6-8:15 p.m. For information, visit www.faithaliveumc.com.
Park concert
The Summer Concert in the Palmerton Borough Park on Sunday will be by Steel Creek (country). The concert will be in the bandstand from 7-8:30 p.m. Bring a lawn chair. This concert is sponsored by Pencor Services.
The bandstand committee reserves the right to cancel a concert in case of inclement weather. There are no rain dates. There is no smoking or vaping permitted in the park.
Community meal
A free community meal will be served from 4-6 p.m. June 27 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 365 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton. Come join together for food and fellowship.
Sunday school picnic
Jerusalem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 500 Church Drive, (Trachsville) Palmerton, will hold its annual Sunday school picnic on June 29. The picnic starts at noon. The service with guest speaker, Frank Hall III, will be at 2 p.m. The afternoon activities include a free kiddie cake walk and fish pond at 3 p.m. Evening activities include a cake walk for all ages and a raffle drawing at 6:30 p.m. Live music by the James Hummel Band, a gospel, country and oldies group, featuring Lori Woodward, will be from 3 to 8:30 p.m.
