Restaurant adds variety in Lansford

A new restaurant recently opened at 634 E. Patterson in Lansford, and it’s ready to bring original and new flavors to the community.

Cha’s Gourmet Restaurant held its grand opening on May 31.

Owners Richelle and Rikerson Michel of Henryville are excited to provide the town with a new restaurant.

“We want this restaurant to be a family restaurant — not too loud or a bar scene, so parents can bring their children,” Rikerson said.

The menu consists of a little bit of everything from Italian to American and Caribbean dishes, with pasta, steaks, and chicken entrees.

There is a kids’ menu and a bar menu.

Cha’s Restaurant teamed up with the Lansford Fire Department to serve the “District 15 Burger” with $1 of every burger sale supports the fire department. District 15 Burger consists of an 8-ounce steak burger with cheddar cheese, jalapeños, pulled pork, sriracha mayo, frizzled onions and lettuce.

Rikerson said the restaurant will give quality service, good food, presentation and cleanliness.

“The eyes eat before you do, and we make sure the food looks and tastes good,” Rikerson said.

The restaurant takes reservations. Take-out orders and online ordering will occur at a future date.
