Grimaldi Gonzalez helped Bankos edge the Birches 2-1 in NORCO Legion action on Friday.

Gonzalez went the distance on the mound, striking out 13 while allowing just four hits and one walk. He also added an RBI in a decisive two-run top of the fifth inning.

Chase Mosteller also had an RBI for Bankos in the frame.

Brandon Ratti drove in a run in the bottom half of the fifth inning, but Birches couldn’t get any closer.

Dallas Greenzweig pitched well in defeat, walking two and striking out four over six innings.
