Northern Valley rolled to a Lehigh Valley Legion victory in action over the weekend.

Northern Valley-Coplay
A big game from Derek Holmes Sunday helped Northern Valley cruise to an 11-1 victory over Coplay.
Holmes collected four hits, two of them triples, scored three times and knocked in three runs.
The winners, who extended a slim lead with four-run innings in the fifth and sixth, also received two hits, two runs and two RBIs from both Ryan King and Justin Holmes.
King gained the mound win, allowing just two hits and a run through five innings while striking out seven.

Bangor-Northern Valley
Northern Valley pounded out 17 hits Saturday, but dropped a 9-8 decision to Bangor.
Rhys George had three hits and two RBIs for the Chargers, while Ryan Hammond had three hits and scored a pair of runs.
Ryan Kensinger added two hits and knocked in two runs in the losing effort. Josh Kistler chipped in with two hits and two runs, while Chase Misera also finished with two hits.
Northern Valley (3-3) held a 3-1 advantage after five innings, but the two teams combined for 13 runs over the final two frames.

Jim Thorpe jumped out to an early four-run lead Saturday, but South Parkland rallied to claim a 7-5 victory.
Nate Sompel had three hits, one a triple, and knocked in two runs for Thorpe, who took a 4-0 advantage in the top of the first.
Ian Hubbard added a pair of hits, while Jared Marykwas contributed a hit and two RBIs.

Martins Creek-Berlinsville
Martins Creek used a three-run sixth inning Friday to hand the Berlinsville Braves a 3-2 defeat.
Matt Ziminsky tossed four hitless innings for Berlinsville (4-4), but the Braves’ relievers couldn’t hold a one-run advantage.
Berlinsville received three hits, including a double, from Bruce Breithaupt.
