Crashes reported in Monroe County
State police at Fern Ridge report on the following crashes:
• Joyce A. Cooper, 66, of Saylorsburg, escaped injuries in a one-vehicle crash at 4:11 p.m. May 29 on Route 715 in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said she was driving a 2019 Toyota Yaris that went off the road and collided with the guide rails.
The vehicle was towed from the scene.
• Three vehicles were damaged in an incident at 1:55 p.m. May 8 at the intersection of routes 209 and 715 in Chestnuthill Township.
Police said a 2004 GMC Envoy traveling north on Route 209 failed to brake properly and struck the rear of a 2015 Honda Civic, pushing it into a 2013 Volkswagen Jetta.
Police said the driver of the Envoy was cited for careless driving.
• Two vehicles were damaged in a crash that happened at 10:32 a.m. May 4 at the intersection of Route 209 and Erin Lane in Chestnuthill Township.
Police did not identify the drivers of the vehicles but said a 2018 Dodge Ram 2500 traveling north on Route 209 turned toward Erin Lane in front of a 2011 Scion TC, at which time the front of the Scion struck the passenger’s side rear wheel of the Dodge.
No one was injured in the incident.
Police said the driver of the Dodge was cited.
• State police at Lehighton reported investigating a two-vehicle crash about 3:22 p.m. on Tuesday along at the intersection of Route 209 and Frable Drive, in Chestnuthill Township, Monroe County.
Troopers said Eugene H. Hagerty, 67, of Saylorsburg, was northbound near Frable Drive while Glenda E. Marini, 56, of Effort, was stopped on Frable Drive. Martini then made a left turn onto 209 and her 2018 Chevrolet Colorado truck was struck by Hagerty’s 2017 Dodge Ram truck.
Martini sustained a suspected minor injury and was treated at the scene by West End ambulance personnel. Hagerty was not injured. Both vehicle sustained minor damages.
