Volunteers from several fire companies were on scene of a rescue at Glen Onoko Falls Sunday afternoon. More than 25 people were on scene for three hours to rescue a 21-year-old woman from the first set of falls. One scene were fire companies from Jim Thorpe, Lehigh & Lausanne, Nesquehoning, Franklin Township and Lehighton ambulance.
The trail was closed on May 1 because of poor conditions. According to reports on the scene, the trail is totally washed out, making the rescue is dangerous.
A representative of the Pennsylvania Game Commission issued a fine to the woman and other members of her party.
