Rachel Lauren Keich, daughter of John and Jeanine Keich of Hometown, graduated Summa Cum Laude with a 4.0 GPA from Kutztown University with a Bachelor of Science degree in business administration and accounting on May 11.

Keich also completed the Ethical Leadership Certification Program from the Center for the Public Trust of the National Association of the State Board of Accountancy Administers.

She was awarded the 2019 Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants award and the Outstanding Senior award.

Keich was named to the dean’s list every semester.

During her time at Kutztown University, she served as secretary of the Kutztown University accounting club, member of Beta Gamma Sigma, member of Phi Kappa Phi, member of Tau Sigma and member of the National Society of Leadership and Success.

Keich accepted a position at Herbine & Company Inc. in Wyomissing as an accountant.

She is a 2015 graduate of Tamaqua Area High School, where she was valedictorian. She is also a 2017 graduate of Lehigh Carbon Community College with an associate degree in business administration and was chosen as the 2017 Student of the Year by the LCCC Faculty Association.

Keich is the granddaughter of Vincent and the late Beverly Vilcheck of Summit Hill and the late Paul and Ethel Keich of Tamaqua.
