Making fresh ranch dressing is easy to do

My sister Hannah loves salads with ranch dressing and homemade Italian-seasoned croutons. This dressing recipe is so creamy and good, yet light and fresh. Instead of buying a jar or bottled ranch dressing, cut up some of your favorite vegetables and try making this easy salad dressing. Pour this ranch dressing over your favorite mixed greens, a grilled chicken-topped salad or dip some carrot sticks in it. Hope you try this easy, creamy, cool ranch dressing for a luncheon salad plate, to top a salad course at dinner, for an appetizer plate during a special gathering or even a simple snack plate. Best of luck with this ranch dressing recipe and enjoy.

Simply Sarah’s Fresh Ranch Dressing

1 cup mayonnaise

½ cup sour cream

2 tablespoons of fresh lemon juice

2 tablespoons of buttermilk

2 tablespoons of water

1 teaspoon of fresh chopped oregano

2 tablespoons of fresh chopped chives

1 tablespoon of chopped parsley

½ teaspoon of sugar

½ teaspoon of garlic powder

½ teaspoon of onion powder

¼ teaspoon of celery salt

Pinch of cayenne pepper

Salt & pepper to taste

Whisk all ingredients together in a medium bowl. Place into a glass canning jar, or your favorite dip or salad container. This delicious salad topper is best fresh to three or four days. I have made double batches of this cool, herbaceous dressing for our family. They love it! It’s easy, right?
