The Palmerton library announces its summer reading program for 2019: “A Universe of Stories”

Summer reading chain starts June 1. For all ages. Stop by the library to sign up. Each book read becomes a paper link in the community reading chain. The more you read, the more chances you have to win a prize at the end of the summer program.

June 21: 10:30 a.m. “Launch” program

All ages program featuring Super Science and Amazing Art of PA. We’ll explore flight, space, and the power of air.

Preschool programs: Thursdays at 10:30 a.m., stories, songs and movement. Dates: 6/27, 7/11, 7/18, 7/25

Kindergarten and first grade: Fridays at 10:30 a.m., stories, puppet show, and crafts. Dates: 6/28, 7/12, 7/19, 7/26

Second through sixth grade: Fridays at 10:30 a.m., STEAM challenges and make and takes. Dates: 6/28, 7/12, 7/19, 7/26

Teen programs: Book bingo reading challenges, complete the sheet to be entered for a prize. Sci-fi trivia night, July 18 at 6:30 p.m.

Adult programs: Book bingo reading challenges, complete the sheet to be entered for a prize. Tuesday tunes, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., enjoy a themed music playlist paired with a display of books for check out. First night: 6/25
