Twelve L.B. Morris Elementary seventh- and eighth-grade students recently competed in the CLIU 21 Regional Middle School Media and Design Competition at Lehigh Carbon Community College.
Rose Strubinger, adviser for the team, announced that several students placed during the competition. They include:
• 3D Design: Sarah Gablick, Carlie Garner and Jessica Zheng, first place.
• Animation: Rene Bubar, second place.
• Digital Movie: James Taddei and Jessica Zheng, second place.
• Graphic Design and Logo: Gabrielle Cinicola and Nikolas Cinicola, first place; and Darcy Leight, Brooke McKeon and Kennedy Rider, second place.
• Web Page Design: Tanner Lux, third place.
Students who placed first in their category now advance to the state competition, which will be held May 22 at Dickinson College in Carlisle.
