Northern Lehigh picked up a softball win over Lehighton on Wednesday.
Jim Thorpe and Tamaqua posted sweeps in track and field action.

Northern Lehigh jumped out to an early lead and never looked back en route to a 11-3 non-league win over Lehighton.
Lauren Hoffman was a triple shy of hitting for the cycle for the Bulldogs. Hoffman also finished with three runs scored and three RBIs.
Shyanna Williams followed with three singles, a run scored and an RBI for NL, while Maddie Peters added two doubles and three runs scored.
Becky Serfass had two singles and a run scored for the Indians.

Jim Thorpe
Jim Thorpe swept a tri-meet against Minersville and Weatherly.
The Olympians (5-0) cruised past the Wreckers (127-21) and the Battlin’ Miners (106-44) in the boys’ meet. Thorpe (3-2) rolled to wins over Minersville (105-44) and Weatherly (120-20) in the girls’ meet.
Lydia Wallace (200, 1600, 300H) and William Munson (shot put, discus, javelin) each had three wins for the Olympians.
Thorpe’s Laura Clarke (shot put, discus), Caprice Lynch (triple jump, high jump), Samuel Hydro (200, 400) and Jarrin Geisinger (long jump, triple jump) all contributed with multiple victories.
The Olympians will host undfeated Blue Mountain next Monday in a showdown that will decide the boys’ Schuylkill League Division 1 champion.
Emily Zoscin (100) and Scotty Zoscin (3200) recorded first place finishes for the Wreckers.
