District Attorney Jim Martin announced Friday that five men are charged in relation to racketeering, as members of the Money Rules Everything street gang.

They are: Alkiohn Dunkins, 20, currently residing in the State Correctional Institution at Camp Hill; Miles Harper, 20, currently residing in Lehigh County Jail; Yzire Jenkins-Rowe, 22, of Bethlehem; Joseph Rodriguez-Valcarcel, 22, of Bethlehem; and Zahmire Welcome, 20, of Freemansburg. Each are charged with one count of corrupt organizations and one count of conspiracy to commit corrupt organizations, both felonies of the first degree.

Dunkins and Harper are currently incarcerated on unrelated charges.

The case was investigated by Det. Blake Kuntz of the Bethlehem Police Department, Det. Kevin Mriss of the District Attorney’s Homicide Task Force, and Lehigh County’s ninth Investigating grand jury.

The grand jury heard testimony from witnesses presented by Chief Deputy District Attorney Bethany S. Zampogna and reviewed exhibits before handing up its presentment. The presentment was approved by Judge Maria L. Dantos, supervising judge of the grand jury. Judge Dantos has sealed the Presentment; thus, no further facts will or can be released.

They will be preliminarily arraigned at a later date.

Although the alleged criminal activity occurred in both Lehigh and Northampton counties, Northampton County District Attorney John Morganelli agreed that the prosecution of the case should be brought in Lehigh County, because the offenses in Northampton County were part of one, larger criminal episode that occurred in both counties.

Officials said the suspects are members of the enterprise, MRE, and that enterprise engaged in a pattern of racketeering activity in Lehigh, Northampton and Allegheny counties and other locations from Jan. 1, 2015, through Dec. 31, 2018.

These activities include possession with intent to deliver: heroin, possession with intent to deliver: marijuana, conspiracy to commit homicide, attempted homicide, and robbery.

Officials said the defendants conspired to engage in a corrupt organization, which included a pattern of activity that involved possession with intent to deliver: heroin, possession with intent to deliver: marijuana, conspiracy to commit homicide, attempted homicide, and robbery.
