April 10, 1968 — Bob Thomas wins three events, setting a school record in one and tying in another, to help Panther Valley gain a 90-60 track victory over Shenandoah. Thomas claims the 220 in 23.7 seconds to break the old PV record and breaks the tape in 10.5 in the 100 to match the school mark. He also captures the 440 in 55.1. Ben Davis also takes first in the 120 hurdles in 17.8, while the Panthers win all three relays. In field events, PV receives firsts from Walter Scheese (shot put) and Joe Kmetz (discus).
