A celebration will be held Saturday to honor two of Palmerton’s Special Olympics Athletes.

Delina Rodrigues, Special Olympics World Games gold medalist.

She won a gold medal overall for power lifting and gold in the dead lift competition.

Matt Anthony, Special Olympics USA National Unified Gold Medalist in bowling.

The athletes will be escorted into the park at 2 p.m., followed by a ceremony.

Delina and Matt have proudly represented Palmerton and the USA.
