Bethany EC Church

Bethany EC Church, 222 North St. holds Sunday worship at 10:45 a.m. with the Rev. Jeff Stansbury, pastor, second Sunday of Lent.

Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. with classes for all ages, including adult Bible study class; fellowship time, 10:15 a.m.; preschool nursery available and Jr. Church provided for children in kindergarten through sixth grade.

Wednesday- Second Wednesday in Lent, 7-8 p.m.

Thursday: Men’s Bible study at McDonald’s, 5:15 a.m.; choir rehearsal, 7 p.m.

Trinity happenings

Sunday worship at Trinity Lutheran Church, 175 S. Third St., with Holy Communion is at 9:30 a.m. Gluten-free communion wafers are available for those with allergy issues. Music will be provided by the Trinity Praise Band with guest vocalist Becky McFadden. The Rev. Nancy Moore presides. Vicar Rich Bergen assists. Coffeehouse fellowship follows. A special presentation will be featured in honor of National Quilting Day.

Sunday church school classes for students age 3 through sixth grade begin at 10:45 a.m.

“Breaking Bread” youth group for students in grades 7-12 will gather in the youth room from 5-7 p.m. Sunday with a “St. Patty’s” Day lesson and party. Vicar Rich Bergen is the adviser.

Midweek Lenten worship with Holden Evening Prayer and psalm devotion continues at 7 p.m. Wednesdays through April 10. Simple soup supper precedes worship at 6 p.m.

A reminder about the food pantry: Extended hours are available on the third Tuesday, March 19, from 5:30-7 p.m. This time follows the regular hours of operation, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

For those desiring to arrange a baptismal date, Pastor Moore will share information at 1 p.m. March 17. For those desiring to seek membership at Trinity, Pastor Moore will provide information at 1 p.m. March 24. Please contact the church office in advance at 610-377-4303 to register.

Crossroads Community Church

Crossroads Community Church, 580 Coal St., holds Sunday worship service with Pastor Jim Banks.

Adult Sunday school at 9:30 a.m.; Contemporary worship service at 10:30 a.m. with nursery available; Children’s Sunday school at 11 a.m.; Fellowship following service.

Tuesday: Adult Bible Study at 6:30 p.m., currently studying the book of Colossians.

Communion: Last Sunday of the month.
