The Palmerton is a collection site for the Lehigh Valley Aging in Place Volunteer Committee CHEMO Bag collection.

The CHEMO Bag Inc., is a nonprofit 501c(3) committed to providing gift bags filled with comfort items for men and women in the Lehigh Valley who are undergoing chemotherapy treatments. Donation made to The CHEMO Bag are tax deductible; IRS identification number is 46-2699108.

The following items can be dropped off at The Palmerton, 71 Princeton Avenue, Palmerton, until March 31:

Warm fleecy blankets, knitted hats, travel size first aid kits, sleep masks, notecards with pre-stamped envelopes, nail files, pens, journals, puzzle books, packets of instant chicken noodle soup, prepaid phone call or SMS gift cards, organic preservative free treats, crystallized ginger, travel size hand sanitizers, travel size tissues, travel size hand/body lotions, ornaments, gentle toothpastes and mouthwashes (Tom’s, Biotine), colloidal oatmeal soaps, healing lip balms, mints, lemon drops, gum, peppermint teas, green teas, ginger teas, bottled waters, thick socks.
