Summit Hill Police responded to an incident this morning after a youth reported seeing a man with a gun.
Borough Police Chief Joseph Fittos said police were dispatched at 7:50 a.m. to East Ludlow and Elm streets.
Fittos said the man pulled out a gun, chambered a round and put the gun back in his pocket and kept walking.
“He did not point it at the youth or threaten the youth,” Fittos said.
Fittos said the man is described as being between 5-foot-8 to 5-foot-10, with a thin build, and was wearing a black hoodie with some type of red monogram or picture on the front.
“We searched the area pretty well and did not locate the individual,” he said. “There were also citizens around, people walking around, and nobody observed this individual.”
Fittos said anyone with information should contact the police department at 570-645-7429.
