The Carbon County Elections Bureau in the Susquehanna Street office in Jim Thorpe was the scene of a steady flow of visitors as people aspiring to public office hurried to meet Tuesday’s deadline for filing petitions to get their names on the 2019 Primary Election ballot.

This year’s “municipal” election will feature several county, borough, township and school district races.

The latest list of people who officially became candidates for the respective offices includes:
