Police arrest naked gunman suspected of firing shots in park

PHILADELPHIA (AP) — Police say they have apprehended an armed naked man who is suspected of firing gunshots in a Philadelphia park.

Philadelphia police say they received multiple 911 calls Sunday evening regarding someone firing shots. Authorities say no one was injured in the shooting, but police got a description of the gunman and found the suspected shooter’s clothing, ID and cell phone at the scene.

Police say the suspect fled into the woods, where they searched until they received reports of a naked man in the lobby of a nearby retirement home.

Police identified the naked man as the suspected gunman, and took him to an area hospital for observation. The man has yet to be charged and has not been identified.
