Read Across America at St. Jerome’s

Students at St. Jerome Regional School celebrated Read Across America Friday with special guest readers from St. Luke’s. Kindergarten through fourth-grade classes had the opportunity to hear “The Tooth Book” by Dr. Seuss and learn about the importance of good dental hygiene. The school also held a crazy hat day in honor of Dr. Seuss’ birthday and had a Cat in the Hat photo station set up for classes to take funny pictures. Dr. Joanne Calabrese said that this is something the health network likes to do as a way to encourage reading in children. All of the readers had a relative who attends St. Jerome.
