Wind warning in effect until tonight

A high wind warning remains in effect until 6 p.m. today.

Winds are between 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 60 mph.

Winds into daybreak will generally gust 35 to 45 mph, Shortly after sunrise, strong winds gusting 55 to 60

mph will affect the area.

Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be

difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

With the ground saturated from previous rain and snowmelt, trees and power lines will be more susceptible to the adverse effects of strong winds.
