State police at the Stroudsburg barracks reported on two recent incidents.
• Police were summoned for a report of the theft of lost or mislaid property after a woman could not find her wallet after leaving the Family Dollar store, 4545 Milford Road, Middle Smithfield Township at 11:14 a.m. Feb. 15. The 30-year-old East Stroudsburg woman, exited the store and could not locate her wallet, which she described as long, green and decorated with leaves. The value of the wallet was estimated to be $5. Police advised the woman to contact her bank and credit card companies to cancel any cards that were in the wallet. Anyone with information about the missing wallet is asked to contact police at 570-619-6800.
• State police are investigating what they called a “quick change theft” that happened at 3:30 p.m. Monday at Gas-N-Goods, 5677 Hamilton South, Hamilton Township. Police said a white man between the ages of 45-55, wearing thick lenses in his glasses, made off with $10 in currency. He was driving a 2015 Toyocar van container trailer, police said.
