State dog warden to visit Carbon shelter to discuss dog law

Do you have questions about what a dog warden can enforce?

Tom Connors, director of the Carbon County Animal Shelter, announced that Jason Bell, the state dog warden for Carbon and Monroe counties, will be at the shelter, located at 63 Broad St., Nesquehoning, off Route 93 from 10 a.m. to noon on Friday to answer any questions about Pennsylvania dog laws.

“A lot of people don’t understand what he’s able to do, what he can do and what he’s required to do,” Connors said. “This is the perfect opportunity to learn about dog law and ask questions.”

Anyone is welcome to drop in at the shelter to speak with Bell regarding dog law.

Connors said this would be beneficial for police departments, residents and municipal officials because there are things that dog wardens can or cannot do with regards to dog law enforcement that the public may not realize.

“If you have questions, now is your chance to get the answers,” he said.
