Palmerton Rod & Gun Club

The Palmerton Rod & Gun Club, 225 Gun Club Road, Palmerton, will hold its monthly membership meeting at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18.

Breakfast

An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 8 a.m. to noon Feb. 17 at the Bowmanstown Rod & Gun Club, 525 Club Road, Palmerton. Buffet items include eggs to order, potatoes, pancakes, SOS, toast, cereal, hash, ham, bacon, sausage, OJ, coffee, tea and milk.

Wing, taco and clam specials are every Wednesday from 5-8 p.m. Dinner is served every Friday from 4-8 p.m.

Library board

The Palmerton Area Library Board of Directors will meet at the library at 4 p.m. Feb. 20. Meetings are open to the public.

Blood testing clinic

The Department of Health will conduct a free blood lead testing clinic for the Palmerton community from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Feb. 23. The snow date is March 9, same time and place. The clinic will be held at the Palmerton Area Junior High School at 3529 Fireline Road in Palmerton. Walk-ins are welcome, though appointments are preferred and can be scheduled in advance by calling 1-877-PA-HEALTH. All ages are welcome to participate in the clinic. Residents with primary health care providers should talk to them about insurance-covered blood lead testing first.
