Dashing through the snow

Passengers enjoy themselves as drivers Molly Dinich and Eric Marmas of Leiby’s Carriage Service guide Belgian Draft horses “Moe” and “Brady” through the snowy fields of Lewistown Valley on Sunday morning. The rides drew dozens over the weekend, many of whom partook of hot dogs and marshmallows over a campfire. Some said it was the perfect way to entertain yourself before tuning in to the Super Bowl. The rides, adjacent to Valley Road 3 miles southwest of Tamaqua, are offered when weather permits and are announced on Facebook. DONALD R. SERFASS/SPECIAL TO THE TIMES NEWS
