The Northern Lehigh boys and Tamaqua girls punched their tickets to the Colonial League and Schuylkil League playoffs with victories on Monday. The Pleasant Valley girls also recorded a win.
BOYS BASKETBALL
Wilson-Northern Lehigh
Brandon Hess and Preston Kemery led Northern Lehigh to an 81-68 win over Wilson to qualify for the Colonial League playoffs.
Hess notched 32 points to lead all scorers, while Kemery was right behind with 27 for the ‘Dawgs (14-7, 10-6).
Cole Swiatek tallied 28 points for the Warriors (14-7, 11-6).

Tamaqua clinched a spot in the Schuylkill League playoffs with a 51-22 win over Lehighton.
The Raiders (17-3) got 14 points from Emmy Kuczynski, and 10 from Emily Titus.
With the loss, the Indians fall to 8-13.
Tamaqua also won the JV game, 34-27, behind 11 points from Serena Jones.

Saucon Valley swept Tamaqua in a non-league meet. The Panthers won the girls’ meet, 103-77, and posted a 111-56 victory on the boys’ side.
Brianna Dumond was the sole double event winner, as she took the 100 fly and 100 back.
Meanwhile, Kayla Sherry (100 breast), Nicole Aguero-Ramirez (50 Free), Ashley Jones (diving) and Billy Shilko (diving) were the other Blue Raider victors.
