Beginner Qigong (pronounced chee-gong) classes are held from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Monday at the Palmerton Area Library.
Similar to Tai Chi, these are gentle, relaxing, ancient Chinese exercises that are coordinated to soft music and incorporate breathing techniques with smooth, slow flowing movements. Benefits include increase range of motion, improved balance, relaxation, mindfulness and more. Exercises are adaptable for all skill levels. The fee is $10 per class.
