A Monroe County man has been jailed, charged with the rape of a child.

Pocono Mountain Regional police said following an investigation they have arrested Leford Anderson, 55, of Coolbaugh Township, charging him with the rape count, a felony, along with other sexual assault counts.

He was charged with the rape of a 10-year-old child. He was arraigned Thursday before a district judge and committed to the county prison in Snydersville after failing to post $150,000 bail.
