State liens are filed

The Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Revenue, Harrisburg, has filed eight judgments against individuals and/or entities who owe taxes to the state. They include:

Heimers Brewhouse Inc., 11 Piney Woods Drive, Jim Thorpe, $2,682.84 owed in sales, use and hotel occupancy taxes for the last quarter of 2016, all of 2017 and the first quarter of 2018; Robert E. Eckhart, 170 Horseshoe Lane, Lehighton, $444.53 owed in personal income taxes for 2016; Robert S. and Cathryn J. Porambo, 803 North St., Jim Thorpe, $1,444.01 owed in personal income taxed for 2016; Robert J. Bartholomew, 60 Sweet Briar Lane, Jim Thorpe, $74,546.13 owed in personal income taxes for 2010-2016; Patrick J. Pettie, 100 Mahoning Drive East, Lehighton, $954.66 owed in personal income taxes for 2014; Thomas R. Katkocin, 38 Chestnut St., Lansford, $1,108.02 in personal income taxes owed for 2014; Ivette M. and Scott A. Morgan, 4300 Little Gap Road, Palmerton, $1,782.10 in personal income taxes owed for 2016; and Scott S. and Karen Stroup, 705 Hahn’s Dairy Road, Palmerton, $1,713.19 in personal income taxes owed for 2016.

Borough files liens

The Borough of Beaver Meadows, 100 E. Broad St., has filed municipal liens against two people.

Amelia Kersane had two liens filed against her, one in the amount of $374.68 in delinquent water bills owed for a property located at 73 Third St., and the other in the amount of $1,050 in unpaid bills relating to the cutting of grass at the same location.

Marshall M. Williams Jr. had a lien filed against him in the amount of $112.32 for unpaid fees for water service at a property located at 41 Penrose St.

Credit card defaults

• Citibank N.A., Fort Washington, has filed three civil actions against people it alleges have defaulted on credit card accounts.

The defendants and the arrearages they owe include: Donald C. Confer III, 280 Mahoning Heights Road, Lehighton, $9,762.11; Carl T. Cressley, 187 Indian Hill Road, Lehighton, $2,463.97; and Dean Berger Jr., 2201 E. Lizard Creek Road, Lehighton, $9,495.14; and Christopher M. Shelton, 940 Edgemont Ave., Palmerton, $4,838.55.

• Cavalry SPV I LLC, Valhalla, New York, has filed several civil actions against individuals it alleges have defaulted on credit accounts.

The defendants and the arrearages they owe include: Suzette Becker, 1122 Vine St., White Haven, $9,624.74; Sarah Sacasa, 348 S. Second St., Apt. 3, Lehighton, $1,558.26; Elisa C. Reilly, 198 W. Broadway, Jim Thorpe, $3,361.50; Kayla Heckman, 374 High Point Road, Lehighton, $2,442.87; Trevor A. Evans, 267 E. Bertsch St., Apt. 3, Lansford, $1,813.20; and Nicholas M. Dotter, 618 Center St., White Haven, $1,189.52.

• Crown Asset Management LLC, Duluth, Georgie, has filed a consumer credit card default complaint against Orville May, 25 Sylvia Lane, Lehighton. Sought is judgment in the amount of $14,158.30.

Federal tax lien filed

The United States Internal Revenue Service, Cincinnati, Ohio, has filed a federal tax lien against Freddie F. Mendeloski Sr., P.O. Box 400, Tresckow.

It lists 1040 taxes owed in the amount of $513,565.77 for the tax years ending 2009-2014.

Transcripts of judgments

• Cavalry SPV I LLC, Valhalla, New York, has placed on record a transcript of judgment against Jennifer Sowers, P.O. Box 53, Lehighton. It was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Eric Schrantz on Oct. 20, 2018, in the amount of $1,319.35.

• LVNV Funding, LLC, Las Vegas, Nevada, has placed on record a transcript of judgment against Richard Herlihy, 52 Beaver St., Lehighton. It was ordered by Magisterial District Judge Eric Schrantz on Oct. 17, 2018, in the amount of $11,535.59.

Mortgage foreclosures

• U.S. Bank N.A. West Palm Beach, Florida, has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Charlie Price, 490 Lake Drive, Nesquehoning, over a property at that address. Sought is judgment in the amount of $171,048.54, plus interest, attorney’s fees and costs.

• Nationstar Mortgage LLC, Coppell, Texas, has filed a mortgage foreclosure complaint against Catherine A. and Eugene G. Cuff, and Kevin N. Cuff, Snow Ridge No. 152, Lake Harmony, over a property at that address, also known as 126 Nordic, Lake Harmony. Sought is judgment in the amount of $189,004.34 plus interest, attorney’s fees and costs.
