Police report the following driving under the influence cases:
• State police at Lehighton said a traffic stop at 10:26 p.m. Dec. 22 at the intersection of Beltzville and Hilltop drives in Polk Township resulted in DUI and drug possession charges.
Police said the driver of the 2013 Nissan Sentra showed signs of impairment and was taken into custody for DUI and transported to the Monroe County DUI Center.
A juvenile passenger was found to be in possession of suspected marijuana, police said.
Police did not release names of those involved.
• State police at the Fogelsville barracks said a 55-year-old Lehigh County man was charged with driving under the influence after an incident at 8:30 p.m. Dec. 17 at the intersection of Kistler Valley and Sechler roads in Lynn Township.
Travis Kyle Schaffer was stopped for a traffic violation and a criminal mischief report. Pollice said the officer smelled an odor of alcohol emanating from inside the vehicle. Police said it was determined Schaffer was under the influence to the extent that he could not safely operate a vehicle.
He was transported to the Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township, due to what police said was a high blood alcohol content and transported to the Lehigh County DUI Center for processing.
