Schuylkill retirement board, personnel, salary information

During a meeting Wednesday, the Schuylkill County Commissioners unanimously approved several personnel changes, and set salaries for those positions:

• In the Public Defender’s office, Paul Domalakes, Frackville, is retiring as of Jan. 4; Ashley Yagielniskie, Frackville, was hired as a public defender effective Jan. 7 at a salary of $54,056.

• In the Human Services department, clerk typist II Deborah Malloy is retiring, effective Jan. 4.

• In Children & Youth, Gretchen Garrity, Pottsville, was appointed as Fiscal Officer I at a salary of $47,048.

• In the District Attorney’s office, Janet Perry Maurer, North Manheim Township, was appointed as a part-time victim advocate clerical aide, at a rate of $14.92 per hour.

• As per union contract, three part-time county prison corrections officers received a wage increase to $22.34 per hour: Patricia Pancerella, Shenandoah; John Roshanon, Tremont; and Austin Ritchie, Lebanon.

• As of the end of November, the total market value of the Schuylkill County retirement fund was $133,675,418.

County Controller Christy Joy briefed the commissioners on the status of the fund during a meeting Wednesday.
